Welcome, my name is Jessica Cruz!

I’m a queer, mixed-race, neurodivergent (ADHD), cisgender woman—and a big believer in creating spaces where people can exhale, be fully themselves, and maybe even laugh a little in the process. My path to becoming a therapist hasn’t been a straight line (no pun intended), but it’s been full of growth, reflection, and deep care for others.

I started with a degree in sociology and entered the world of social work, where I realized how much I loved holding space for people. But I also noticed I needed more room to explore who I was—outside of systems, expectations, and timelines. That curiosity led me to the Bay Area just before the pandemic, where I spent a lot of COVID going inward—asking the big questions, untangling my own patterns, and discovering that therapy was where my heart wanted to land.

I went on to earn a Master of Science in Marriage, Child, and Family Therapy, beginning my clinical journey at San Francisco State University- A program dedicated to decolonization therapy and a strong social justice foundation. I’m also CACREP certified and committed to making therapy more accessible, affirming, and culturally humble.

At the heart of my work is a love for connecting with others—sitting together in the beautiful mess of life, decoding the mysteries of who we are, where we come from, and how we want to move through the world. My hope for each client is that you walk away with a deeper understanding of yourself, more compassion for your story, and the confidence to live as your fullest, most grounded self. And if we share a few moments of laughter (or existential side-eye at the universe) along the way—that’s just part of the healing, too!
