FAQs

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even a little overwhelming—especially if it’s your first time. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you get a clearer sense of what working together might look like.

  • The first session is all about getting to know you—what’s bringing you to therapy, what your hopes are, and how I can best support you. We'll explore your story at your pace, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and safe.

  • Yes, I work with both individuals and couples. Whether you're seeking support on your own or with a partner, we’ll tailor our work to meet your unique needs and goals. I welcome all relationship structures and backgrounds.

  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Most clients start with weekly appointments, though we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and availability. We’ll check in regularly to make sure the pace feels right for you.

  • That’s an important question, and it’s okay to take your time with it. I offer a compassionate, identity-affirming space where we work collaboratively. If you’re looking for a therapist who listens deeply, respects your cultural background, and honors your lived experience, we may be a good fit. I also offer a free consultation call if you'd like to connect and ask questions before scheduling a session.

  • Depending on your needs and location, I offer both virtual and in-person sessions. Online therapy can be a flexible, accessible option, especially for those with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or living at a distance.

  • I support clients navigating a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, cultural stress, life transitions, and self-worth. Whether you're processing the past or seeking more peace in the present, you're welcome here.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. What you share in our sessions stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). We’ll talk about confidentiality more in your first session so you can feel informed and secure.
